Jumping For Charity - raising money for good causes.

Skydive Swansea's Mission

"As the only skydiving facility in Wales, our primary aim at Skydive Swansea is to promote and help Welsh and national charities raise funds through tandem skydiving by offering a direct service. By dealing with the parachute centre direct, additional fees will not be unsuspectingly paid to agencies and middlemen for making a booking on your behalf. Our pledge is that every penny above the cost of the tandem skydive goes to your chosen charity. Through your efforts at fundraising you will have the option to experience the thrill of skydiving and help raise much needed funds for charity."

Carl Williams - Chief Instructor

How it works

You are required to raise a minimum of £320 in sponsorship. The cost of your skydive is paid out of your sponsorship money and the rest goes to the charity that you have chosen. So by raising the minimum of £320, £220 pays for your skydive and £100 goes to the charity. The payment for your jump includes the instructor payment and third party insurance.

If you raise more than the minimum amount, the costs of the skydive remain the same, and the charity gets more money. We will provide you with sponsorship forms when we have received your deposit. If you wish to pay for the skydive yourself then we ask that you raise a minimum of £100 for the charity of your choice.

Visit our charity partners page to see our full list of partner charities.

Please note that on the day of your jump you are required to pay for the balance of your skydive with cash or postal order. If you have used Just Giving to raise all of your sponsorship online then you will not be able to do this. Therefore we suggest that some sponsorship money is raised using the sponsor forms provided in order to be able to jump for free.

All of the charity partners we are associated with are aware that some of the sponsorship raised may cover the cost of the jump. If you have chosen a charity/cause which is not listed on our charity booking form/website then please make sure you have permission from them to raise funds for them. A letter or email from them would be acceptable when sent in with your booking form.

All that is required to book your skydive is a deposit of £40.

You do not need to be an Olympic athlete to become a skydiver but there are limitations as regards to your weight and mobility. The weight limits are 15 stone for men and 13 stone for ladies (both fully clothed). If you are over the age of 60, or rely upon walking aids for your mobility then we will require you to attend the centre for a pre-assessment before accepting a booking.

EVERYONE has to fill out ONE of these medical forms. You may require a doctor to sign & stamp your form.

Anyone aged 16 or 17 will require the signature of a parent or legal guardian on the BPA Membership Agreement (also known as the under 18 parental consent form).

Visit our documents page to download copies of these forms from our website.

When would you like to jump? Please note that we cannot guarantee a booking until your deposit and completed medical forms have been received. We are open every weekend and bank holiday and also open some Friday afternoons during the summer months.

Please Note

Parachuting does have an element of risk which you accept by signing the terms and conditions in the information pack and the Student training record sheet on the day of the jump. All staff ensure training is to the highest possible standard, with safety being the number one priority. If any individual is considered not capable of undertaking the planned parachute descent, before or after training, the individual will not be allowed to complete the jump. We reserve the right to decline anyone we consider unsuitable to jump on the day, even if they are within the weight restrictions.
